ISTEP Scores—What is ISTEP?
The Indiana Statewide Testing for Educational Progress-Plus (ISTEP+) measures what students know and are able to do at each grade level. Based on Indiana’s Academic Standards, ISTEP+ provides a learning check-up to make sure students are on track and signal whether they need extra help. 100% of SJA students who have had at least ONE YEAR of our Reading Mastery Program passed the ISTEP.
The Average percent passing
All tested grades in English/Language Arts and Math show St. Joan of Arc at 92.4%.
The 95th percentile is 92.7% for this year. Essentially, this means that only 5% of the tested grades did better than our students. A far cry from our scores only five years ago. The average percent of students at SJA passing the ISTEP has increased from 56% to 92.4% in just 5 years.
