Our Faith Based Mission
We welcome and support a diverse cultural and economic
population as a hallmark of our Catholic identity as well as the other faiths that come to learn and worship in our Catholic setting.
Catholic Identity
We believe that:
• The Catholic School is an integral part of the Church’s mission to proclaim the Gospel, build faith communities, celebrate through worship, and serve others.
• The commitment to academic excellence, which fosters the intellectual development of faculty and students, is an integral part of the mission of the Catholic School.
• The Catholic School is an evangelizing, educational community.
• The spiritual formation of the entire school community is an essential dimension of the Catholic School’s mission.
• The Catholic School is a unique faith-centered community which integrates thinking and believing in ways that encourage intellectual growth, nurture faith and inspire action.
• The Catholic School is an experience of the Church’s belief, tradition, and sacramental life.
• The Catholic School creates a supportive and challenging climate which affirms the dignity of all persons within the school community.
Therefore:
• We will guarantee opportunities for ongoing spiritual formation for Catholic school faculty, staff, and leadership.
• We will challenge our faculty, staff, students, and families to witness their belief in Jesus Christ.
• We will champion superior standards of academic excellence.
• We will commit ourselves to teach an integrated curriculum rooted in gospel values and Catholic teachings.
Liturgy
Weekly Liturgy is an important part of the curriculum at St. Joan of Arc. Students plan and participate in the liturgies, which are Thursday at 9:00am unless otherwise announced. Parents are always welcome to attend school liturgies.
Parishioner Stewardship
As a parish member of St. Joan of Arc Catholic School, each Parishioner is expected to contribute a combination of time, talent and treasure in support of our Parish and School. The Parish implements its Stewardship Program through the stewardship process. On an annual basis, each Parishioner is given the opportunity to pledge his monetary contribution as well as their time and talent.
This pattern of giving for our Parish School Families is not only important to the Parish but to our School as well. This regular pattern of giving will be the primary factor in determining the eligibility for the Parishioner discount given to the tuition rates.
All Parishioner school families must have a signed pledge card on file with the parish office. Failure to have a signed pledge card or meeting the financial contribution as agreed on the pledge card will result in the discontinuance of the financial credit given for our Parish families.
