Our early child hood program…

As our young Monarchs move into the primary school, they will begin with our reading mastery program which covers Language as Learning and Language as Thinking Skills while using a phonics-based program that teaches reading and comprehension skills.

Our intermediate school is the transition that our young people need from the primary grades to the middle school. These grades offer the students a variety of choices in their curriculum path while learning how to change classes for certain subject areas while still having a guiding homeroom teacher to foster this transition into the rigorous middle school classes.

Our commitment to academic excellence

is a commitment to the individual student.

St. Joan of Arc Catholic School features small class sizes where a strong emphasis is placed on student-teacher interaction. This supportive environment allows our teachers to respond to the educational needs of each student.

Our teachers build on a strong foundation of traditional academics, challenging our students to excel. Our curriculum includes religious education and computer technology, preparing our students for academic success.

St. Joan of Arc provides a faith-based education that promotes academic achievement while emphasizing Catholic Christian values.

Why SJA?

Our Heritage…

Since the parish was founded in 1921, SJA has existed to carry the message of Jesus Christ to all who enter through our doors. With St. Joan of Arc as our patron Saint, we have transformed into the leaders of faith-based and academic excellence within a truly diverse population. As St. Joan of Arc was a leader, we too, are leaders in academic and creative arts fields. Our students will receive the highest academic education while being transformed into young leaders of our society.

What does this entail?

Our transformation process begins with a traditional and faith-based school setting for all children. We address the academic, spiritual, and moral needs of our children—instilling values and principles that will sustain them throughout their lives. We do this in an environment that demands a high standard of conduct, promoting self-discipline and respect for others while integrating the 21st Century Learning Skills. Our pre-school and pre-kindergarten program sets the standard of skills that will evolve as your child grows with us.

When students arrive in our middle school (L.I.S. Program), they will begin to utilize a vocabulary for the skills they have been accumulating at the younger levels. All middle school students have a rigorous state standards based curriculum with a focus on leadership, integrity and service. Students will also learn about high school opportunities, colleges and career options as a part of their curriculum.
