What is the LIS Program?
The new Alumni L.I.S. Scholar program, based on our middle school core beliefs— Leadership, Integrity and Service (L.I.S.) awarded its first scholarships last year to two bright and deserving 5 th Graders. This program, fueled by the SJA Annual Fund, is a 3-year scholarship (6th-8th grade) that provides incentives to middle school students and helps to transform our SJA students into young leaders.

Our First L.I.S. Scholars are Kiehler Joyce and Patrick Johnson. They have already begun to apply themselves to the program by immersing themselves in new media technology and applying for a grant for a Wellness Event for SJA students.
Kiehler aspires to attend Cathedral High School to pursue her interest in theatre and her dream of becoming a dentist. She loves reading and math, and has a particular fondness for family histories. A social butterfly (a Monarch, of course) she’s active in dancing and cheerleading. See her progress by clicking here. She also has aspirations of becoming a model.
Patrick plans to pursue his dream of becoming a pro soccer player while also studying to become a physician’s assistant. An avid reader (100+ books this year!), he plans to continue developing his guitar during high school at Bishop Chatard. See his progress by clicking here.
