Dear SJA Family and Friends,
This week we celebrated Catholic Schools Week 2012! Thanks to our committee and all who helped make the week a great success. The Open House on Sunday was well attended and I am grateful to the many volunteers who helped with the day!
Thanks to the LIS Scholars, Kiehler Joyce, Patrick Johnson and Lauren Graves for talking at the Masses this past weekend.
The Student Council members attended Mass at St. Peter and St. Paul Cathedral. Our fifth graders joined the fifth grades from the other deanery schools at St. Lawrence for Mass and a vocations panel this week.
The teachers and staff defeated the 8th graders in the annual volleyball game. We prayed together and we talked about the importance of our Catholic Schools, most importantly, St. Joan of Arc.
The students competed in the North Deanery Spell Bowl, and although we didn’t win again this year, we did well. Our students also raised money throughout the week for Riley Hospital.
Wonderland, the school musical, has sold out its dinner theatre tickets for Saturday, February 11th. Tickets are still available for Sunday, February 12th for the 12:00PM show. For more information, contact the school office.
