Our Early Learning Center strives to promote academic achievement by offering services to our early learners while focusing on their diverse and individual needs. Our teachers and staff collaborate to create a high-quality program, in which each child is a valued member of our early learning community. We strive to guide your child in a direction that is interesting and engaging, allowing them to choose an individual learning and playing style. The teacher’s role supports this by providing a nurturing, safe environment as well as activities and materials that children enjoy. Combined with observation and listening, interesting materials, exploration and interaction - your child will thrive at our St Joan of Arc Early Learning Center.
The focus of the infant program at St Joan of Arc Early Learning Center is to learn through play. Our infants learn by exploring their surroundings indoors and outside. They learn through gross and fine motor skills along with social skills-teacher-directed and independent play. They will be engaged in activities such as art, music and movement, and storytime. Our teachers monitor the playground during play while encouraging the children to climb, slide, swing and ride trikes.
Toddlers have the opportunity to explore and learn all about the world around them through creative play, music and movement, open-ended art and sensory experiences, and social interactions. Our Early Learning team staff our program, many of who hold CDA Credentials from The Child Development Associate (CDA) in Early Childhood Education. Teachers plan developmentally appropriate activities to help enhance each child’s language development, creativity, fine motor, and large motor skills.
